We are looking for you as Data Management Consultant at Transavia
For our Data Management Office (DMO) we are looking for a Data Management Consultant. The DMO supports Transavia in adopting data management and making data products accessible, understood, and trusted.  

 

Data is one of our most important assets and needs to be managed as such. Will you help us maximize the value of our data assets by ensuring it is trustworthy, compliant, and AI-ready? Are you interested in how technology can support the executing of data management processes? And do you like empowering data users by coaching them to use data consistently and responsibly to support decision-making? Then you could be our new Data Management Consultant.

What will your tasks be?

In your new role as Data Management Consultant, you will play a key part in Transavia’s investment in its data management capabilities. The goal is to ensure data is treated as an organization-wide asset that is used in an efficient, consistent, and responsible manner to support decision-making. As Data Management Consultant, you will ensure progress on data management targets and engage in close collaboration with multiple departments, leading initiatives to support and educate Data Owners, Data Stewards and other users on implementing data management practices.

 

You will also be doing things like:

  • Develop and execute trainings and learning paths for colleagues within Transavia, educating and empowering them to take ownership of data products within their domain;

  • Develop expertise in our data management tooling (data.world) and ensure its adoption within the wider organization;

  • Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and serve as the linking pin between DMO, business, IT, and data professionals;

  • Help Transavia reach the next level of data maturity and be ready for Gen-AI use cases.

 

Where will you land?

You will land within the Strategy, Data & Intelligence (SDI) department. In this department, we serve as an essential link between business and analytics, guiding Transavia towards a more data-driven culture. We lead the transformation to data-driven operations, advise departments using information and insights, and develop data and AI solutions for Transavia’s customers and employees. Within SDI, we develop large strategic models that contribute to our business goals. Your role will focus on the data management of all the things that are created, to ensure that Transavia will be Gen(AI)-ready.

 

What you’ll get

  • Gross monthly salary between €4.227,- and €6.536,- based on a 40-hour workweek;

  • 8% holiday pay and an 8.33% year-end bonus;

  • Travel allowance;

  • Personal budget of €700 to support your well-being, which you can use for a gym membership, bike, or home office equipment;

  • You will start with 26 vacation days based on a 40-hour workweek.

Job requirements

The right baggage

As a Data Management Consultant, you bring:

  • HBO/WO educational level;

  • At least 3 years of experience in data management, data analytics, or a similar role;

  • Understanding of data management principles, frameworks, and metadata management;

  • Experience with data quality management;

  • Experience with at least one data catalog (for example data.world or Collibra);

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Good knowledge of English;

  • An open mindset: you embrace diversity.

  • Energy for change: you are motivated by improvement, collaboration, and achieving results.

 

Nice to have:

  • Demonstrated experience with change management, helping people and organizations adopt new skills and capabilities;

  • Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices and legal requirements;

  • Knowledge of applying data management practices in the context of (Gen)AI.
