Data Analyst Finance & Operations

We are looking for you as a Data Analyst Finance & Operations at Transavia  

Are you the Data Analyst who can provide us with actionable insights? As a Data Analyst, you’ll be the go-to expert for delivering information that supports Transavia’s operational decision-making. You understand the business processes and the data sources behind them. You model data, perform analyses, and build dashboards that provide insight into, for example, our operational performance.

What will you do?

In your new role as Data Analyst Finance & Operations, your primary focus is on aligning operational costs and accurately allocating them to the appropriate flight routes. You’ll work closely with operational domains such as crew, fleet, planning, and ground operations. You’ll also focus on the finance domain, enabling you to effectively link financial data with operational data. You will proactively search for differences and communicate with the business about these differences. This way you will create  the foundation for reliable, route-based cost allocation.

You’ll also be doing much more, such as:

• Actively delivering insights and tools that support strategic decision-making, with route profitability being one of the key focus areas;

• Identifying, quantifying, and interpreting KPIs—you’ll be the go-to expert for all KPIs in your area;

• Selecting the right data sources, analysis methods, and presentation formats (reports, dashboards, or otherwise), which you’ll develop and continuously improve independently;

• Balancing the maintenance of existing dashboards with new, strategic initiatives—in coordination with your Analytics Team Lead;

• Promoting data-driven work across the business and serving in an advisory capacity;

• Working with your SDI colleagues to implement dashboard standards and contribute to the high standards of the analytics chapter.

Where will you land?

You’ll land in the Strategy, Data & Intelligence (SDI) department. In this team, we form a crucial link between business and analytics and help guide Transavia toward a more data-driven culture. We lead the transformation to data-driven working, advise departments with actionable insights, and develop data and AI solutions for Transavia’s customers and employees.

You’ll work closely with the rest of the team, consisting of Analytics Team Leads, Business Consultants, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers) as well as stakeholders within your domain (Operations). You’ll also maintain close collaboration with our colleagues at Transavia France. In your role, you will actively contribute to operational performance steering, helping to drive an excellent operation and provide insights in the fianancial domain.

• Gross monthly salary between €3.589,- and €6.080,- based on a 40-hour workweek;

As a Data Analyst, you bring:

• A completed bachelor's or master’s degree and 2 to 5 years of experience as a (Data/Business) Analyst, (Business) Consultant, Business Controller, or a similar role;

• Experience working with financial data and developing reports and dashboards, from experimentation to implementation;

• Skills in data management and analysis, and familiarity with tools like Power BI and SQL;

• The ability to translate business goals into data products and use cases;

• Insight into business processes and the ability to align information needs with strategic objectives;

• Interest in aviation operations, particularly in cost and revenue structures;

• Strong communication skills, you can explain complex data issues to non-experts and translate business questions into clear data requests;

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written;

• Energy from change, collaboration, and achieving results;

• Experience in aviation is a plus but, not a must.
